Buy on the open

I am trying to buy on the open of the daily bar if a condition exists, however in backtest the strategy is getting in on the next bars open regardless of calculateonbarclose true or false.

Thanks for your post.

In backtesting the bars do not process all the ticks that made up the bar thus your strategy will only execute once at the end of the bar regardless of the CalculateOnBarClose setting.
