buy on open and sell on close, historic and realtime

im trying to buy on the open and sell on close on historical data, how can i do it?
had a look at a few other thread but understood nothing

1)for real time i use "if (FirstTickOfBar)" but i dont know how to specify sell right before close of the intradaycandle

2)or historic data i dont know how to do both

can some one let me know how to do them both real time and historic data

Thank you for your post.

While you could add a secondary series for 1 Tick to your code to submit orders to in order to simulate the effect you are looking for, the calculations would still be made on the close of the bar.
