Which type of C# variable to use to asigne a number to each of the price types?

I know about HLCC/4 but didn't see it in any charting platform and never used it myself so I don't know why you thing it's popular.

As I did not tried HLCC/4 I can not coment on it but I tried OHLC/4 and its definitively very useful, and you are wrong it is popular and used in both other charting platforms and also indicators (how I comented before, it is the HEIKEN ASHI bar close).

If apart of doing the work you do on this forum you also are a trader please download a demo of Sierra Charts and have a look yourself on some indicators aplying OHLC/4 as price type in comparison to the othe price types and you will directly see what I mean.

Hope OHLC/4 will also be integrated in NT7

Ok, what I thought does not work so here I go again!

Is there any posibility to asign int valuos to the diverent price types so I can run a optimizasion on them, I mean for example, if I optimize a MA crosover not only be able to optimize the period of the MAs being both set to a determinate price type (close for example) but also be able to optimize the price type? Somethink like creating a variable where we asign a int valuo to each price type (close=1, open=2, typical=3 ...) and than optimize on that.
