Determining Chart PeriodType and Period in code ...

My custom strategy adds multiple instruments.

I would like to be able to add them automatically with the same PeriodType and Period as the chart on which the strategy is being run. This will avoid also having to change PeriodType and Period for each added instrument if I change the timeframe of the chart on which I am running the strategy.

Is there any way for the code itself to determine the chart's PeriodType and Period
