    A list/array query

    Hi Ninjas

I was inspired to ask this question by the superb reply Jesse gave in thread:

    about arrays.

This is a different query in the same area.

I have an indicator that's designed to check a chart at certain CurrentBar values I select. (This is only for historical checking, of course).

What I'd like to know is how to set up a list or array which would contain any number of CurrentBar values, say, [57, 126, 187, 276, 486]. I would like to set up code so I can say:

if ( the current bar # is contained in this list/array )

    do something

Would the CurrentBar values be entered as variables in the indicator box? Is there another way?

Sorry, I'm a complete list/array dumb bunny and would really appreciate any pointers.

    Thanks.

    Hi arbuthnot,

    Thanks for your post.

If you are working with a single dimensional array, you can use Array.IndexOf(arrayName, value);. If this returns -1, then its not in this array.
