Fix missing backtest data

Hi,

I am currently running backtests on a new strategy which requires tick data. I use Ninja Continuum as data Provider and have downloaded tick data from there for FDAX.

I have missing data in some weeks in 2015, e.g. the last week of February 2015 is missing the ASK series (BID series is OK).

1. Do I have to re-download historic data to fix it?

2. Do I need to clear the data cache before? If so, will it delete old tick data I have on the machine (I got the entire 2014).

3. Would Kinetick provide more tick data of history, how many years do they go back?

Hello Martin,

1. Yes, can you please re-download the missing data. You can download it from Control Center-->Tools-->Historical Data Manager-->Download-tab. When I test a FDAX 06-15 chart on my end, I do load historical ask tick data for the last week of February.

2. No need to delete the cache folder.

3. No, Kinetick provides 120 days of historical tick data.
