last complete bar

I have what maybe a simple problem to solve ...

My workspace loads up a daily chart that outputs several items for each bar to a file followed by an intra day chart that reads this data.

I want the last complete daily bar to be the last data row in the file so e.g. if I load the workspace over the weekend Friday's bar will be included or if I load the workspace in the evening the current day's complete bar will be included.

Using CalculateBarOnClose it waits until Monday's bar starts before I get Friday's complete bar.

Any thoughts?

Hello futurenets,

If you run the strategy with Calculate on bar close false in real time, you can use a timer to wait until after the session closes and check the price of the close.

You would need to be in real time with Calculate on bar close set to false so that Close[0] refers to the in-progress bar and not the most recently closed bar.
