Is tick backtest equivalent to COBC=false?

Hi, is historical backtesting on tick data equivalent to real-time with COBC=false?

While backtesting on tick data, I noticed that entry orders don't get executed until AFTER the OBU is finished. For example, If I enter long, the MarketPosition will not show LONG until the next call of OBU. Should I expect the same behavior in real-time?

    Thanks

    Hello,

    Thank you for the question.

In a backtest the execution will always appear on the next bar due to the way the backtest works.

In realtime for this scenario, the execution would appear on the same bar instead of the following bar because COBC is false and would allow for the condition to become true intrabar. if you are on a 1 tick chart, I would still suspect to see the execution on the next bar because there is only 1 tick per bar, otherwise any other increment chart you should be able to see the granularity better and the execution intrabar.

I look forward to being of further assistance.
