    ETH and RTH

Just wondering if any one knows how to apply an indicator or use a session template between ETH and RTH on one chart while quarantining the indicators to each session.

For example say i want to plot a prior OHLC on both ETH and RTH on one chart.

    How do i implement that.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello Darkhorse70,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!

With your scenario you would not be able to do this on one chart. The reason being is that you cannot have two of the same DataSeries type on the same chart. Meaning two 1 minute charts for the ES.

You would need to have two separate charts, each their own session template.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Thanks Cal. what if i run an ETH . It goes through both sessions. not sure if there is an indicator which can seperate the RTH session from the ETH.

Do you get what i mean.

      Thanka for the welcome

        Darkhorse70,

You can do this with the ETH Session template and an indicator attached to that chart. You will want to check when certain times are such as you currently in the ETH hours or the RTH hours and then process information accordingly.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Well im using the ETH session template.
Im also using CT time so 8:30 is the opening of the RTH session.

Do you know any indicator which will assist in this situation?

          Thanks

You can use the SessionPivots indicator in the download section of this forum.

            The indicators allow to display

            - prior day HLC (both ETH and RTH)
            - Globex pivots (ETH) and floor pivots (RTH)
            - current day OHLC (both ETH and RTH)

and a few other things which are explained in the text.

To display full session (ETH) highs, lows and pivots you can apply the indicator with <instrument settings>, which will always draw the full trading session. For displaying both ETH and RTH highs, lows and pivots you need to use a session template that subdivides the day into three sessions

            - night session
            - regular day session
            - after session

Attached is a sample template for ES.

              ETH and RTH Pivots

              Same chart, same indicator.

First screenshot shows RTH, second screenshot shows ETH pivots.
Please check the red line showing yesterday's low to understand the difference.
The blue area is the pivot range.

                Hello darkhorse70,

Thank you for your response and thank you to Harry for their suggestions.

I am not aware of any indicators that would do this, as the Session Template of the primary series on the indicator or strategy calling another is applied to all.
