    Sound files

    Greetings to all,

Can I copy sound files to the NT sound folder and use them with my alerts()?
If affirmative, do I have to re-copy the same sound files to NT every time NT does a revision?

    Thanks

    Hello,

    Thank you for the question.

You can copy .WAV files into the Sounds directory inside of the NinjaTrader installation directory.

For the alerts in the Options menu specifically, you would need to replace the original sounds that are named after these events.

For your custom NinjaScript Alerts you can simply reference the filename as you currently do with the standard alert sounds if you place them inside this folder, otherwise the full path would need to be used.

These files should also stay between upgrades as the installation directory is not removed in this situation. I would advise keeping a backup of the sounds if you can not re create or re download them just as you would with any file you need to retain.

Please let me know if I may be of additional assistance.
