    user-defined methods: indicators vs. strategies

I just want to clarify what I am reading in the docs: if I create a special smoothing function, and want to use that function in both an indicator and a strategy, I must maintain 2 copies of it ?
Or...are the user-defined methods "shared" between indicators and strategies ?

OK, understood....but that is a huge design oversight IMHO.
Tradestation's Easy Language allows sharing of algorithms and routines via functions that could be passed in either strategies or indicators.
