method to clear Alert Window

Is there a method/function call to clear/reset the Alert Window?

I haven't seen one.

Turtle Trader, there's ResetAlerts() for resetting the rearm times of all alerts.

For clearing the content we have not documented one, however you might find looking into NinjaTrader.Cbi.Globals.Alerts.Clear() helpful.

Unfortunately this is not possible with NT8 as this is not a publicly supported feature for the Alerts log. NT7 has the nondocumented / internal Alerts.Clear() which we posted however this was deprecated with NT8.

Well, in NT7 I automatically clear the Output and the Alerts with code every 15 minutes....

this is because when I let them "fill up", and didn't clear them, it eventually caused instability in NT....as my system runs 24 hours a day (during the trading week).

In NT8 I would have to manually shut the Alerts down when I leave the trading day, probably I will have to stop using the Alerts, I have an XMPP server that provide the same in a distributed way
