error declaring a new string

I get the following error when trying to declare a new string. what is wrong with my syntax:-

new string filename = @"C:\Users\gkonh_000\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\" + Instrument.FullName + "win.txt";

Error: A new expression requires (), [], or {} after type

GKonheiser, you should not need the new keyword here, just do String filename....
