Does NinjaTrader Have A Scanning Feature?

Hello Everyone,
Just wondering if NinjaTrader had a scanning feature, since I can't seem to find it. Also, can somebody link me to the NinjaScript manual? I have some experience programming in Python and R, but never in NinjaScript. I'd like to start developing automated strategies in the next couple of months.

Hi Jason,

The scanning feature of NinjaTrader is called Market Analyer. You can open a new market analyzer via File -> New -> Market Analyzer.

You can access the NinjaScript Refence under Help -> Help -> Content -> NinjaScript -> Language Reference. NinjaScript is an extension of C# and uses .NET 3.5.

Kyle, thanks for your help! Can the market analyzer be used to analyze whether or not the previous bar was an inside bar? I see it can be used with indicators and such,but cannot seem to figure out if it can look for inside bars.

The Market Analyzer does not include this type of function by default however this is something which could be accomplished through custom programming.
