Can ExitonClose be used in live trading or is it only used for historical backtesting purposes

Hi fiddy, it can be used live as well, here ExitOnCloseSeconds will be important to complement.

You want to set this to a high enough amount to trigger and process the ExitOnClose order before any closing / settlement.

What type of orders are submitted? are they mkt orders or limit orders?

does the orders get caught up in the matching process or are they executed before this occurs

fiddy, that depends how early they are submittted in and how active the market is, the purpose would be to exit before any settlement occurs.
