This is probably simple but I have yet to get it to work right. I want to be able to use the mouse to click on a bar on my chart. The bars are Range and not time based. Get that bar number and get the high point and then draw a line X ticks above the selected bar into the future; with X being an adjustable parameter. I have been able to get high low and close of a bar, just not sure how to do the rest.

Example I select a bar that occurred 100 bars ago with my mouse. I get the high of that bar and lets say it is 100 and I set X to 10. Then it will plot a line at 110 ticks from that bar that occurred 100 bars ago up to the current bar in a user adjustable color, style and width.

some of that I have figured out. Mostly the mouse and plotting that line from the mouse selection.

Any help appreciated.

Is there a way to ask a user to enter a number and get that. If I can not do that then how about getting the 1st range bar shown in chart and drawing a line 10 ticks above it to the current bar.

Using the mouse in that manner to get your input data.
