combing two indicators into one, etc?

    Hello everyone

    1st question

Is there anyway to combine MACDS with RSI or Wilder RSI to create one indicator. If yes could you please give me the formula. Or perhaps the indicator has already been created.

    Secondly

would it be possible to create a simple indicator such where the 1 year moving average of new highs is subtracted from the one year moving average of new lows; Yahoo updates this data on a daily basis. and have the data plotted as overlay on chart such as the SPX, etc If not 52 week, a 100 or 200 day moving average of new highs minus new lows would be fine also

Thank you for any help. How proficient does one have to be in C to simple try to combine 1-3 indicators together.

Hi saul42, I'm not aware of a generally accepted formula to do so, it would depend what exactly you want to do and combine. You also need to be aware of the indicators relative scale, MACD is unbound while a RSI type oscillator would range from 0-100.

To get started in NinjaScript's basics just check into those online tutorials we have available - https://www.ninjatrader.com/support/.../tutorials.htm

For your second question, if you can access the data symbols via your provider you could create a so called MultiSeries / instrument study, however the programming for such a study would be more involved. You can take a look at the concept via checking into the SampleMultiInstrument strategy codes for example preinstalled with NT.
