What is NinjaScript?

I understand that maybe this is a basic question and I shouldn't be here if I don't even know the answer but, what is NinjaScript and how can it help me in my trading on NinjaTrader? I have looked at the Ninja guide (F1 with NinjaTrader open) but couldn't really find anything.

NinjaScript can be used to develop your own custom indicators and automated strategies for your trading in NinjaTrader. The strategy wizard is a great way to get started with custom strategies if you do not know c# which NinjaScript is based on.

To piggy back off of this, Is there any benefit to "Reload NinjaScript" if I (1) am not doing any coding, (2) I am only using Indicators that came with Ninja, (3) I am not using any automated strategies.

...Just noticed this is in NT7 and I ask this for NT8

Thanks for your note.

The Reload NinjaScript option will remove the existing instance of the strategy/indicator and add a new one in the chart. This applies to the system indicators that come default with NinjaTrader.

It is not likely that you will need to use the 'Remove NinjaScript' feature if you are only using the default NinjaTrader indicators.
