    if statement with Value.Set

    Hello,

    I would like to use "Value.Set" in IF-Statement. But I get the Error-Message CS1656
    MSDN help is not available for this code.

    How can I use the Value.Set for IF-Statements?

    I have here my Example

    if ((Rising(SMA(17))) && (Falling(RSI(14,2))))

    {
    /*>>>>*/ if (Value.Set = 1) //??? <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
    {
    Value.Set(2);
    }
    else
    Value.Set(1);
    }
    else
    Value.Set(0);

    For reply many thanks! :-)

    chartvisor, what condition are you trying to check for?

    What value the previous bar for example had?

    if (Value[1] == 1) ...

    .Set would only be used to set a value for a given bar, to check for a value in a condition just access it via the index in the [ ] - current bar would be 0, the bar before that 1 and so on.

    Also to check for equality you use a double == sign in C#, a single one only for assignments.
