Acess stored historical data in V Studio

Hi,

May i know if it is possible to access tick data which i have stored through Ninjatrader, to be accessed by any other program.
I guess what i would require is how the tick data is stored, which format, if its encrypted etc.
I wish to process this tick data through visual studio.

Hello nemesis45,

The NinjaTrader data is in a proprietary format and I am not aware of any way this data can be used with a 3rd party application.

You can export this data from the Historical Data Manager as a text file for use with other programs.

Tick data exports with the following format:
yyyyMMdd HHmmss;price;volume
20061107 000456;1383.25;25

You can find all of the formats in the help guide on importing data. Take a look at the section 'Understanding import file and data formats'.
