    Working With Fonts - DrawText

    Using DrawText(), what is the compiler expecting to find for the Font parameter?

    I have

    Code:

     private Font numberFont = new Font("Arial", 8,FontStyle.Regular);
    in my variables and am trying to use it in this line:

    Code:
    DrawText(CurrentBar.ToString()+"TextBuy",true,Close.ToString,0,Low[0],-5,Color.DarkGreen,numberFont,StringAlignment.Center,Color.DarkGreen,Color.Transparent,10);

    But the compiler won't take it.

    Thanks in advance.

    To add, I created the variable because it is what one of the code samples said to do. If using a variable isn't the preferred method, what would you typically put into the font parameter?

    Unfortunately, the Help Guide for DrawText() uses the simplest possible example that doesn't address the Font. The Help Guide would be much more useful if the examples had the syntax for all of the potential parameters.

      Hello Grasul,

      Thank you for your post.

      You are using the variable correctly, however you missed the second ToString's parentheses for the string text. Please change the code to the following to compile:
      Code:
      DrawText(CurrentBar.ToString()+"TextBuy",true,Close.ToString(),0,Low[0],-5,Color.DarkGreen,numberFont,StringAlignment.Center,Color.DarkGreen,Color.Transparent,10);
