    Internal Order Handling Rules

**NT** A Set() method to submit an exit order at '13/03/2013 5:00:00 AM' has been ignored. Please search on the term 'Internal Order Handling Rules' in the Help Guide for detailed explanation.

I get this msg when I try to change an order from ExitStopLoss to Settrailstop.
I have two conditions, at the start commence with a stop loss, then if certain profit targets are met I want to change the order to a trailing stop

Not sure what the problem is?Do I have to cancel the Exitstoploss first?

Hi fiddy, the order handling rules of the managed approach would be detailed on the botton of this page here - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...d_approach.htm

Yes, that Set method is ignored as you have a working exit method on the same position.

You could have either a stop or a trail stop working on the position so if you wish to change to a trail later on it would be best to code the trail manually via the SetStopLoss or Exit method, so you can start off a static stop amount and then start trailing as you desire later on as the trade progresses.

A helpful reference on this concept would be offered here -
