    Martingale

    Dear all,

I tried a lot of different script to add a martingale in my strategy but without any good result.

Does anyone have a sample of a strategy using a martingale ?

    Thank you in advance.
    Chris.

    Hello Chris128,

    Thank you for your post.

This is possible but not through the Managed Approach for Order Entry in NinjaScript. You would need to use the Unmanaged Approach to allow you to have an order that can be placed in the opposite direction.

For information on the Unmanaged Approach please visit the following link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...d_approach.htm

Unfortunately, we do not have a sample that demonstrates a Martingale.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

You are simply doubling the quantity of your order every time that your trade makes a loss. What part is difficult to code?

Apropos of nothing, it is a mathematically provable result that, as nobody has infinite resources, a martingale is a guaranteed losing/wipeout strategy.

        Please don`t missunderstand me Chris,
        I will agree with koganam.
The Martingale no works for Roulette ( I saw Black comming 20 times in a row) and even not in Trading.
I also used a form of Martingale for a while until one day it hurts me badly. Even if you are thinking that the prices cannot climb or fall more, beliefe me , they can....
The programming of this strategy is the programming not worth about :-)

Thank you all for your answers.

I ask for a martingale strategy because I know that a lot of people use it and that it would be more answer to my question, but I'm actually looking for an anti-martingale. (But as it's almost the same thing to code...).
