New Object -- not an Indicator or Strategy

I don't think this exists...if it does please tell me.

I would love to have an code object available in the NT architecture that can run as a background task, and is not attached to an instrument (chart, dom, market analyzer)

there could be multiple uses for this....

1) instantiate a common global data store for communication between unbound indicator and strategies

2) a common tcp/ip interface or a common interface for an external data store, such as SQL Server

the purpose is here so that each NT object does not need to open its own connection TCP/IP socket or SQL Server

3) and so on

there would be an option as to when to instantiate the object: before or after any standard NT objects

Hi Turtle Trader, thanks for sharing those thoughts - there would be unfortuately no other object / architecture available I could point you to besides the mentioned ones. There are thoughts in our feeback lists for product enhancement though to allow more flexibility and API uses, I will note your vote and request for those items there to track.
