Bulk instrument update in Instrument Manager

I would like to update default Session Template (or any other property) for 500 symbols. How do I do that?

Thank you for your note.

There is no method to mass update the setting sin the Instrument Editor for multiple instruments at once. However, when importing a stock list you can set the instrument list and session template for multiple instruments you are importing (File > Utilities > Import Stock Symbol List).

So is it possible to set session template for all of those imported symbols upon the import?

That is correct. Please go to File > Utilities > Import Stock Symbol List. You can view all the options available there.

Perhaps, this works with brand new symbols.

But what if I already have 500 symbols with an incorrect template? Can I delete all of them at once and then re-import with a correct template?

Thank you for your response.

If the stocks were manually created or imported before you can reset your instruments to start from scratch.

To reset your instruments please go to Tools > Options > Data > Reset Instruments > when complete restart NinjaTrader and then import your new list of stocks.

If the stocks were not manually imported and came preloaded in NinjaTrader you would need to delete them manually one at a time.
