Pausing between each instrument

I want to run a strategy over a list of instruments however I run into restrictions from IB in requesting historical data.
I want to run the strategy overnight and have a pause between each instrument to prevent running into the data restrictions

1) what is the code to add a pause
2) where in the code would I have to place this?

fiddy, so you would want to custom throttle the data requests done by the IB adapter? There would be unfortunately nothing I could offer here, for our next major version the data requests done would be further optimized in this regard - however it might be best to work with a 'true' high performing datafeed provider in those high data demanding setups.
