Compiling with unsafe compiler option

As I understand it, NT7 does not and will not support compiling with the /unsafe compiler option.

Will compiling with the /unsafe option be available in NT8?

Separately, what compiler options are available in NT7 and how does one set them?

jeronymite, your understanding is correct - for NT8 I've added this thought to our feedback list, while I unfortunately could not offer you an ETA or commitment.

I'm not aware of any custom compile options offered, what were you looking for here?

I wanted the unsafe option, but was interested to know if any options have been (or would be) made available. Ideally, it would be good if NT8 was as "open" as possible and allowed all standard compiler options to be used.

I hope the /unsafe option is allowed for compiling. As it is now, I have an indicator I would very much like to port to NinjaTrader, but it is currently not possible because the /unsafe option is blocked.

I will check with development later this week, but at this time I have no word on this being supported for NinjaTrader 8 at this time.

Thank you for checking in on that PatrickH. I very much hope the unsafe option is allowed. I greatly prefer to do all my coding in C++, as it is massively faster than C#. Even if the usage of it was entirely unsupported, but just available...that is all I need. I will keep my fingers crossed!
