IB Adapter optimisation queries

The new IB Adapter changes in NT ver 6.5.0.9 are great, especially with the latest optimisations. However I have two queries regarding these.

Firstly: when I use the "Format Data Series" command to download historical data with a "Last Date" say a month ago and a "Start Date" a week earlier NT appears to re-down load data from the current date ie today ?? It does the same if I use "Days Back" instead. Is this intended?

Secondly: I experienced an unusual exception that may need investigation.

I was trying to pick up some older data when TWS shut down, and I received a dialogue message advising that "TWS forced your connection to close. NinjaTrader is unable to automatically reconnect. Please shut down NinjaTrader and reconnect manually to TWS: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host (10054/10054)".

At the time NT had been downloading data from first week in January successfully. The exception appeared to occur during the next data request for the last week in December 07. ie data over year end.

Has any one else experienced these?

Yes, that's how the TWS API works.

This is caused by TWS. There is nothing we can do about.
