Data Series Type, Value, etc

From within an Indicator can one grammatically get the Type (Minute, Tick, etc) and Value (39 ticks, etc) for the primary data series on a chart?

Example: I have a chart with the data series type Tick and the Value at 39 (Ticks). Can I determine this from within an indicator and how?
