identify which condition triggered the entry
I have a couple different entry conditions in my script. is there a way (maybe a logfile or something) that tells you which condition caused the trade entry? i guess i can remove conditions and see if it still triggers to get to the bottom of which one is doing it. it's hard to tell from the chart because a couple of things happen very close to the same time.Tags: None

Hello PLeary,
Thank you for your post.
You can add a Print() statement to show information in the Output window (NinjaTrader Control Center > Tools > Output Window) regarding the order and condition and use Time[0] to see at what time on the chart this occurred.
For example:
For information on Print() please visit the following link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h.../nt7/print.htmCode:if(myConditionToEnter1) { EnterLong(); Print("My Condition 1 returned true and placed an Enter Long. " + Time[0]); }
For information on Time please visit the following link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...s/nt7/time.htm
Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

Use IOrders. You will then know which order was triggered, simply by looking at its name.Originally posted by PLeary View PostI have a couple different entry conditions in my script. is there a way (maybe a logfile or something) that tells you which condition caused the trade entry? i guess i can remove conditions and see if it still triggers to get to the bottom of which one is doing it. it's hard to tell from the chart because a couple of things happen very close to the same time.
