Correct, this would have an effect on the whole thread not just your individual NS study. I'm not really aware of a native workaround, the calculation would be triggered by the OnBarUpdate() calls seen, you could probably return out of it when the time would dictate so.

How exactly do you mean? You want your indicator code proper to execute only once every 3 seconds? In that case you just need to create a timed return loop at the top of OnBarUpdate(), with an escape every 3 seconds.
