Retrieve Text from DrawText

Is there a way to retrieve the text from a DrawText object if the Tag is known.

Something like:
string text = DrawText("KnownTag").Text;

I would prefer not to loop through all the drawObjects on a chart.

The tag is only a property of the object. You cannot access the tag property directly without knowing the parent object itself. The only way to do that in a generic sense is to loop through the objects.

OTOH, if you use IText objects, then you can refer to them directly, and query their properties or access their methods.
