    Add()ing instrument

    Good Morning,

if i had an instrument twice or more but with different PeriodType, the BarsInProgress is the same.
    Why is that?

Or with the same PeriodType but a different value(>)
    base:ES, range, 1
    Add(ES range,2)
    Add(6E, Minute,1)
    Add(6E, Minute,2)

    Onmarketdat
    Print(barsinprogress)

    gives
    0
    0
    1
    1

rGQRGs7, in which method do you see this? OnBarUpdate() or OnMarketData() ?

Yes, for OnMarketData() > I would expect this outcome.

So, the base serie must have a higher value, or is it just not possible.

What are you trying to accomplish? The BarsInProgress will return the first BarsInProgress series that matches the instrument for the event.

I tried before with stocks, and inside onmarketdat, i used e.MarketData.Instrument.FullName to match in a dictionary, but with same instrument it won't work.
              is there a workaround?

I would unfortunately not be aware of one to further differentiate - the Level 1 data you see would be identical as well, as the period type / chart type would not influence it.
