Any ideas on how to proceed?

I'm not a pro programmer, but have been somewhat successful figuring out some on my own. I have reached a bit of a stone wall though and could use a hint.....

I know how to proceed if I want to color background of indicator pane, say, if the Stochastic is above a particular value.

What I wish to do is color the background of the indicator from the point the indicator goes from neutral to above, say 80,(iow from the point of crossing over the 80 line) and maintain the background color all the way until the indicator crosses over the 20.

I hope that's clear. I searched all the current posts and couldn't get any ideas. Even a hint on how to proceed would be very helpful.

Come to think of it... A better approach may be to use the concept of Thresholds...
