Stop Indicator

Hi,
I have simple question.
I coded some indicators and want it checks some values with my server.
I like indicators sometimes stop working and not show any on chart.
I think best solution is add "if" command in "protected override void OnBarUpdate()"
For example:

protected override void OnBarUpdate(){

if(License==Invalid)return;

}

I want know this Line stop working indicators: if(License==Invalid)return;

Correct, if the Iicense would be not valid, the further OnBarUpdate() calcs / plots would not be hit by the code then.
