Adding a Lower Time Frame

Hey guys, a quick question about bar series in a strategy. If you have a daily strategy as your primary series, can you add a 5 minute series Add(PeriodType.Minute, 5) within the strategy also? How often would it execute?

Hello elitetradernyc,

Yes, you can add any period that you would like and it will update when the period updates like a normal chart. This would be a Multi-Time Frame strategy.

There is a sample strategy that come preloaded inside of NinjaTrader that you may view for reference as well by going to Tools -> Edit NinjaScript -> Strategies and double click on "SampleMultiTimeFrame" to view the source code.
