    Cannot implicitly convert type 'int' to 'NinjaTrader.Data.PeriodType'. An explicit co

    Hi,
    Im making Indicator and get this error:
    Cannot implicitly convert type 'int' to 'NinjaTrader.Data.PeriodType'. An explicit conversion exists (are you missing a cast?)

    Code:
    private PeriodType AcceptableBasePeriodType;
    this.AcceptableBasePeriodType = 2;
    Regards,

    Hello RezaFx,

    That would be expected as a PeriodType is an enum type not an integer. I am not quite sure what you are trying to reference.

    Setting a PeriodType would look something like the following:

    Code:
    AcceptableBasePeriodType =PeriodType.Minute;
    or
    AcceptableBasePeriodType = PeriodType.Day ;
    Could you clarify what you are trying to accomplish? Are you trying referring to the period parameter (BarsPeriod.Value) possibly, mean that if it was a 5 Min char the BarsPeriod.Value would equal 5 and on a 1 Min chart it would be 1?

    Happy to be of further assistance.
