Regarding the duplicate methods

Hello,

I've exported a strategy along with needed indicators. One can import it only on clean install of NT7. Once the import is done, one gets errors in pretty much all of the standard indicators that use SMA. The error during compilation looks like this:

-- The type "NinjaTrader.Indicator.SMA" exists in both c:\Users\.... --
-- NinjaTrader.Indicator.SMA is a 'type' but is used like a 'variable' --

Any ideas how I can solve this? Is there a chance of this happening because of public enum that involves type "SMA" as a type?

If you try reinstalling NinjaTrader then are you able to reimport it again.

Please download and install the latest version of NinjaTrader from here

Please make sure NinjaTrader is NOT running while you are installing the new version.

I'm aware that I can reimport again. I have latest NT7 installed.

I'm asking how can I solve this so I don't have reinstall NT7 every time if I need to import anything else. This import blocks any further import of any other strategy/indicator as it gives me ''error in some code" (because of the errors in standard indicators I've mentioned above: be it @Bollinger or anything else).

You dont have to install it every-time you reimport it. The error may be due to an bad installation only and thus I am asking you to see if the scenario disappears if you try reinstalling NinjaTrader and see if you are able to reimport it.

Ah, I see

I've tried reinstalling NT7 many times and the scenario is identical every time. It's either I can import this package and then receive compilation errors on standard indicators or I get duplicate methods error if I import few other indicators/assemblies/strategies before it.

*The "toy" just means something that is a stripped down version that isn't necessarily the whole logic. It makes things easier to rout out.
