If I have a performance statistic that I want to use in addition to those appearing with Strategy Analyzer results, can I write it and have the Strategy Analyzer include it with other performance results?

You cannot add your custom report to the NinjaTrader generated account performance report. However you can append the statistics to a text file, say at the completion of the strategy (via the OnTermination evernt).
Please refer to this sample code which demonstrates how to append a custom txt file using the StreamWriter
