Value of one pip in EURO

Hello,

I am currenty creating an indicator and looking for a solution to get the value of one pip in EURO (= my account currency) for further processing. This should also work for currency pairs without EURO involved e.g. using the indicator on a USDJPY chart.

You can use the TickSize property to get the pipsize.

Unfortunately it will return the value based on the Instrument settings and not your account currecy

Thank you for the reply. But I do not need the tick size. I need the tick value in the account currency. Any other ideas?

Concerning the function Instrument.MasterInstrument.PointValue: Do we get cost in account currency or in instrument currency?
Maybe we can use this function to implement a solution.

Hello Bosstrader,
Point value is the currency value of 1 point of movement for the instrument. For example the point value of ES is $50, which is essentially 4 ticks * 12.5.

Maybe you can custom code using it, however you will need the exchange rate, which cannot be found natively.
