Multi time frame question

If I add additional time-frames do they fire (received) in the same sequence they are added? Also if i had no ticks for a time-frame I assume I get no entry as opposed to a zero entry.

ct, as NinjaTrader is event based, so they would update when there is one, meaning the opening tick of a new bar would have been seen. Correct, if there are no ticks / trades, then you would not see an update, as bars are strictly build event based.

Make perfect sense. So if I am using bar close and have multiple instruments then the actual sequence of the entries can be random, Correct?.

What is the best way to determine the first entry a new bar? Will FirstTickOfBar only fire (be true) for the first tick of BarsInProgress == 0? It would appear in testing it does not but for every time frame.

Correct, the firing of the instrument events in realtime would depend on really when they update, that's the event driven character. FirstTickOfBar would fire for each series / BarsInProgress.

How can you determine the OnBarClose setting in ninjascript?

You can check with CalculateOnBarClose. Called in backtesting / historical data, it would be 'true' only.
