Build new instrument list programatically?

Hi,

I'd like a broader set of stock lists than the SP-500, DJ-30, etc. I'd like to add the Russell 1000 and 2000. Entering each stock as a new instrument manually would a significant effort.

I'm curious to know if I can somehow import instruments and lists or create them programatically. I searched to find an answer but didn't see one.

While there are no supported methods for programatically creating a list, you can import a list of stock symbols to an instrument list:
