Unique Identifiers: Local or Global

Hello,

Are the unique identifiers, for example for an Alert(), global to all running scripts (charts, strategies, market analyzer) or only to the instance that it is running in?

Ryan, are you sure of that? You mean I can reset an Alert() on one chart by referencing it by the same ID from a different chart? My indicators' alerts, even if they are using the same name/tag do not seem to reset each other if the same indicator is on different charts. Did I misunderstand the question and/or the answer?

Thanks for the reply. Alert ids are unique to the instrument, so you could not reset alert from a different chart with a different instrument. You can use ResetAlert() from a different chart, same instrument and it will reset the alert.
