Optimize on Profit Factor with Minimum Net Profit?

I want to maximize Profit Factor, but only AFTER I have satisfied a requirement of let's say $100,000 net profit...

If my net profit is $1,000 with a 100x profit factor, I don't care...

I would rather $100,000 with a 2x profit factor.

Is there any way to do this?

Edit: (Or minimum # of trades would be okay. I'm trying to avoid it from just executing 2 trades over ~4 years and getting a great "profit factor" that doesn't tell you much).

The optimizer will take ~24 hours, so I want to make sure it gets the right value the first time around!

Hi Joe, that would unfortunately not be supported per default, but if you're an experienced coder you could look into creating a custom optimization type that would include your constraints - those would be stored under Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\Type.

Hi,

I recently upgraded to NT 7.0.1000.10 from 7.0.x.8 and this is no longer working for me.
I even deleted every single .cs file in

C:\Users\ . . .\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\Type

except for my custom optimization, but I can still use any optimization method in NT7 (except for my custom one).

I tried searching my C:\ drive for a new location, but it didn't find any...

1) Did the location for the optimization files change?
2) Are optimization methods still customizable?

Hi,

My oversight...
I went into a random Ninjascript, hit the compile button, and it recompiled the .dll that contains the optimization algorithms. I didn't know the compile was for all custom files!
