Loading takes too long... What can I do?

Hello,

I have created an indicator that calls another indicator (ZigZag) more than once as part of a backward loop that checks for certain conditions and makes calculations at every bar.

The code takes reasonable time (10 seconds or so) to load up when I use 250 bars, However, it takes nearly 2.5 minutes to load this same indicator when I am using 1500 bars.

If I know that the ZigZag information is going to be the same on past bars, is there an easier and faster way to call for that indicator without using so much PC resources.

Hi Stopped,

It really depends how the indicator is coded. You may not need to make your calculations for every bar, so there could be some opportunities there to selectively calculate it. Post a snippet showing what your script is doing and we may be able to offer a bit more.
