New guy here, Quick Question

Hey guys, thanks for viewing, currently my strategy will buy a long position if the signals are right, then it will buy the short position, effectively nullifying my long, but I want it to only execute the long position if it is not in a short position and vise versa. So yea I only want Enterlong or Entershort to go through if there is currently no active trade. What would be the easiest way to do this? I am using the wizard still because I am new, but I feel it is too limiting for me, do I need to switch over to code?
