    Time in Force for order

    Hello,

My broker (IB) provides ability to set the time for an order to expire. The only time in force setting I see in NT is the DAY and GTC. Is there another way I can specify the actual time at which the order expires? (GTD in IB).

    Thanks.

    Hello,

If you would like orders to cancel at a time through the UI, you can set this up going to Tools--> Options--> Misc tab--> set the 'Time to flatten' and select 'Flatten all'.

Please note that this will close all open positions and pending orders on all associated accounts.

If you would like more control over which orders are canceled, I would suggest taking a look at the following reference sample to create your own timer event:

You can then use CancelOrder to specify when an order cancels.
