How to Compile C#, Mac User

I am learning C# from a book that I have with online examples. Is anyone aware of a compiler that will work with C# since I am a Mac User? I don't think Xcode can do it but I may be mistaken. I would like to learn a programming language, (A) to help me with NT in the future and programming my ideas, and (B) to help me have better logic in my thought process.

        What's your experience/background in programming?

I haven't had to do anything complicated, just learn some basic syntax, print statements to console, formatting for print statements, and become VERY familiar with NT's references to their data series.

Other than that, if/then statements, a little boolean logic for that, and some variables.

My programming experience is next to nothing. Very, very, very simple macros in VBA. Started learning some thinkScript associated with TOS.

I am not sure what you are really asking. Are you asking about learning NinjaScript or C#? NinjaScript is a framework based on C#, but is not exactly C# in all its glory. Learning each of them efficiently also takes a different trajectory, IMHO.

For NinjaScript specific, I would suggest starting with those :

For general C# background we often recommend this site here :

This detailed guide to C# covers everything from setting up your development environment to understanding csharp basics like variables, control flow, and methods.
