Make a new type of frame

Please, explain how I can make a new type of frame. Like the range or the renco but with my logic. Is it must be based on existing one?

Thanks for the forum post and welcome to the NInjaTrader forums.

Although this is possible to do in NinjaTrader it is unfortunately not supported. This requires advanced programming and to be able to edit code without documentation or examples to achieve this.

If you are able to do this you can take a look at the My Documents->NinjaTrader 7->bin->custom->type->bartype.cs file. It is there were we have our already pre built bar types. You can use this as an example and simply change the logic to do what you need.

You would need to recompile any indicator to force everything to compile after making a change in this document.

Thank you, Brett. This is what I looking for. Lack of documentation makes the task more difficult but that's not a problem.
