Why strategy starts at the beginning of Chart instead of present time ?

Hi,

I'm new here and with NinjaScript.

I'm trying to do a very simple strategy to learn it.

My first ask :

A barChart has currently 162 bars. If I launch a strategy on this Chart, This strategy begin at the 1st bar available in this barChart, ie 162 bars in the past.

Is my observation true ?

If yes, why this behavior ? It looks strange but I'm sure there is some good reasons that works like that.

Last, Is there a way to obtain that strategy start at the time I activate it ?

The strategy will post historical trade it WOULD have placed, but it did not actually place. It will not place live trades until after you activate it.

If u have unlocked your code, search the forums for: historical

Something like

If (historic) return;

Will prevent that.
